Model Court Consultative meeting




Today, my office, project management unit for legal and judicial reform discussed on the model court system in Cambodia which is supported by DANIDA and AUaids. the meeting was organizing and working smoothly but there are many discussion during the meeting where there are many issues has been discussed. however the result of the meeting is not so fruitful since the the objective of the meeting was not identify clearly from the begining. please see the two important legal framework for the model court in Cambodia: Criminal Procedure Code and Civil Procedure Code.





The framework for the analysis of the model court for Cambodia is starting from analyzing the background of the existing standard and criterias where the Cambodian judicial system hadve and to find out what are the international standard that Cambodian judicial system want to apply for the judicial system in Cambodia. Then the criteria which was inshrined from




Cambodian legal framework will be used as a concept of criteria to fullfil the 11 standards of the model court in order to reach the 10 objectves of the model court and finally to meet the goal of Model court system in Cambodia. When the criteria has been analyzed completedly the question to be asked will used to find out what are the actions need to fullfil the 3 mechanisms of court system (case management, court management, and court administration). Finally the strategy and action plan for the model court will be developed in order to implement the project.
